Why Should I Become A Member?

Have you ever wondered how the Teen Rock Shop staff selects bands for referrals, or how we evaluate them? Most of our bands come from musicians who already play together for family and friends but want to improve their skills and get more gigs. The bands we coach are usually beginners but we also have many established bands looking to pick up new tips on stage moves and marketing strategies to increase their audience size and gigs.

As our bands go through our workshop they are evaluated on, appearance, set list, sound and ease of preparation. In a typical week we coach 20 to 25 bands. Once the session is completed, we give an in-house rating to each passing band, so that when a venue requests our best teen band for a event, we can recommend our very best.

In addition to evaluating, our workshop also prepares bands for promotional techniques. Effective promotion also depends upon the skills, talents and motivation of the band itself.

Our staff selects bands, plan lessons, and advance about 300 working bands each year. Whether you are a rock band in Texas, a North Carolina pop band, or an acoustic duo, this workshop will make your band something special. We think you’ll agree that this teamwork will produce exciting results.
